Day 1: Sapa to Tam Duong ( Lai Chau ) via O Quy Ho Pass ( L, D )
  • Distance: ~75 km
  • Highlights: Silver Waterfall, O Quy Ho Pass (Heaven's Gate), and Lu village. 
  • The Journey: You will depart Sapa in the morning and head straight up the majestic Tram Ton pass. Stop briefly to view the Silver Waterfall before tackling O Quy Ho Pass—the highest and longest mountain pass in Vietnam, reaching over 2,000 meters. Take in the jaw-dropping views of Mount Fansipan and the deep valleys below. 
  • Cultural Experience: Descend into Lai Chau province and stop for a local lunch in Binh Lu. In the afternoon, your Easy Rider will guide you through remote villages inhabited by the Lu and Lao ethnic groups, recognizable by their distinct black-tinted teeth and intricate woven clothing. 
  • Overnight: Hotel or local guesthouse in Tam Duong. ( Lai Chau )
Day 2: Tam Duong ( Lai Chau)  to Sin Ho Plateau ( B, L, D )
  • Distance: ~65 km
  • Highlights: Na River Valley, Sin Ho Pass, and Dao/Hmong mountain markets.
  • The Journey: The morning begins by riding along the scenic Na River Valley, past vibrant banana plantations and gold exploration sites. From Paso, the road begins a dramatic, winding ascent into the clouds toward the remote Sin Ho Plateau. The air turns crisp and cool as you climb past deep limestone canyons.
  • Cultural Experience: Sin Ho remains highly untouched by mass tourism. You will visit secluded villages of the Red Dao and White Hmong communities. If your trip aligns with the weekend, you will experience the vibrant, non-commercialized Sin Ho Sunday Market.
  • Overnight: local hotel in Sin Ho.
Day 3: Sin Ho to Muong Lay ( B, L, D )
  • Distance: ~60 km
  • Highlights: Da River (Black River) canyon, stilt villages, and Muong Lay valley.
  • The Journey: Today features an incredible descent from the high-altitude plateau down into the deep valley of the Da River. The road snakes along the river cliffs, revealing dramatic views of massive water reservoirs and newly built bridges.
  • Cultural Experience: Arrive in Muong Lay, a unique town nestled in a narrow river canyon. This area is home to the largest population of the White Thai ethnic group. You can spend the afternoon exploring their traditional stilt houses built right along the water's edge and learn about their river-faring history.
  • Overnight: Riverside hotel in Muong Lay.
Day 4: Muong Lay to Dien Bien Phu ( B, L )
  • Distance: ~95 km
  • Highlights: Highway 12 valley ride, A1 Hill, De Castries Bunker, and Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum.
  • The Journey: The final leg of the trip follows Highway 12, cruising through lush landscapes filled with wild ferns, banana trees, and dense jungle foliage. The road flattens out as you enter the legendary, expansive Muong Thanh Valley—the site of the historic 1954 battle that ended French colonial rule in Indochina.
  • Historical Experience: You will spend the afternoon touring the most iconic historical sites in Dien Bien Phu with your guide. Walk up A1 Hill (the site of intense French-Vietnamese fighting), step inside General De Castries’ underground bunker, and marvel at the panoramic battle murals at the Dien Bien Phu Museum.
  • Overnight: Him Lam resort and Hotel in Dien Bien Phu.
