Tour Itinerary

This 4-day biking tour was designed for those want to challenge on a long biking distance. It’s a great combination of biking, cruising, trekking and sightseeing with the places off beaten tracks. On this trip, we will visit and stay overnight in Thung Nai located inside the Song Da reservoir, Considered as Halong Bay on Da river or explore Mai Chau valley with breathtaking scenery. On last day, you will get closer to nature in Cuc Phuong National Park and Van Long Nature Reserve.

Day 1. Hanoi-Kim Boi-Thung Nai (-L/D) - Biking 60km

8:00 AM. Meet up your tour guide at hotel. We get out of Hanoi busy traffic by car. Arrive Bai Lang (Kim Boi, Hoa Binh) we start cycling from here to Thung Nai. The ride is about 60km mostly up hill, the scenery on two sides are spectacular lunch en route or in Thung Nai. Afternoon, we take the boat trip in the Da River and enjoy beautiful sunset in the poetic river. Dinner and stay overnight in the guest house (house on stilt)

Day 2. Thung Nai-Mai Chau (B/L/D) - Biking 65 km

After breakfast, we head back Hoa Binh city by car. If you want a challenge, we can cycle from Hoa Binh to Mai Chau (about 70km) with 2 long stiff climbs. Otherwise, we drive to Mai Chau. Lunch and check-in home stay of the Thai people. Afternoon, we take asoft cycling around the villages with rice fields and bamboo forest. In the evening after dinner enjoy Thai music dancing and drinking with the singers. Overnight in the home-stay.

Day 3. Mai Chau-Cuc Phuong National Park (B/L/D) - Biking 85 km

After breakfast made by the Thai ladies, We will start the tough day cycling from Cho Lo market in Man Duc, Hoa Binh to Cuc Phuong National Park. The road is quite flat but some hilly and in good condition mostly on Ho Chi Minh trails. We will have lunch on the way in a local restaurant. Reaching Cuc Phuong National Park, check in the park hotel and relax after a long day pedaling.

Day 4. Cuc Phuong- Van Long Nature Reserve- Hanoi (B/L/-) - Biking 35 km

After breakfast, it takes a short distance biking to the Endangered Primate Rescue center and the Turtle conservation center. If you go with kids, these are very good places for them to study about nature preservation. We continue cycling about 2 hours through the National Park and stop to visit Cave of Ancient Men. Continue riding to the center of the park, we arrive the Park Center. Lunch here before taking car out of the forest to Van Long Nature Reserve. Taking a boat trip and get deeply in the Nature you can see lots of birds and even the “white short langur” a very rare primate in Vietnam. Say good-bye with the rower, we take the car back Hanoi. The trip ends.
